Gudikal Gram Panchayat received the Kurnool district Swachh Sundar Panchayat award for 2025–26, recognising 100% door-to-door waste collection, the segregation shed run by the Mahila Sangham, and the plastic-free Tuesday santa initiative.

Jal Jeevan Mission milestone
The 60,000-litre overhead reservoir was commissioned this week, bringing pressurised tap water to 220 colony households. Coverage now stands at 96%, with the final 68 connections planned before September.

97.2% pass rate
Zilla Parishad High School Gudikal recorded a 97.2% pass rate with 14 students scoring above 550 marks. The Panchayat felicitated toppers and announced library upgrades from its education fund.

48 new drip units approved
The horticulture department sanctioned micro-irrigation subsidy for 48 farmers covering 96 acres of chilli and vegetable cultivation. Installation begins after the first monsoon rains.
